Above is the finished fuel tank awaiting installation in the fuselage. Lying next to it are the ammo, and spent ammo tanks. These are all hollow white metal castings to which must be added plastic card sides ( 40 thou). These are the white areas on the tanks, which have yet to be painted aluminium.

The Albatros sits on its wheels for the first time. Note the thin plywood sheeting over the cockpit area- the cutout for the padded leather coaming has yet to be carefully cut out. Also installed are the engine , fuel-tank and infeed ammunition boxes. Much more work to do!
